This sweet photo came to me from my sis-in-law, Debbie.
I have a sacred place in my heart for chipmunks. To me, they are adorable little creatures. Before we moved, our home had a back screened-in patio. It was out there that we practically lived all summer and the fall until the snow fell. A cement ledge was next to the screen and the chair I'd sit in. A little chipmunk would come out and stand beside me, with the screen between us. I named him Chippy and would talk to him every time he'd visit. When we moved, it was hard for me to leave Chippy behind. After some research, I find that chipmunks don't typically seek out social interaction, unless they feel safe. Oh, dear, that adds more to the time spent with Chippy, 'cuz he, too, must've enjoyed my company. I read that when a chipmunk visits us, we can interpret that to be a positive symbol of a playful spirit. Awww, another layer of precious.
