Today's post is a follow-up to yesterday's about the tears we cry. My tendency is to use quotations in my writings, cuz the more minds the better.......
Sometimes tears are a sign of unspoken happiness, and a smile is a sign of silent pain.
Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in awhile, so that we can see Life with a clearer view again. ~Alex Tan
Tears are simply the raindrops from the storms inside us.
A woman wears her tears like jewelry.
Tears can be trusted more than a smile because you can easily smile at anybody but can't cry for anyone without true feelings.
We should respect every drop of water whether it falls from the sky or from an eye.
If you have ever cried out of love and care for someone, you will never be able to hate or forget them because tears fall only for those who touch our soul and once our soul connects with someone, they become an inseparable part of us.
The most painful tears are not the ones that fall from your eyes and cover your face. They're the ones that fall from your heart and cover your soul.
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. ~Washington Irving
The ability to smile through tears is a testament to the indomitable human spirit.
Crying can be a form of liquid prayer where Our Lord hears our cries and understands the language of our hearts.
Crying is something we all have in common. It's the first thing we do when we're introduced to Life. Every soul is given its own set of emotions to deal with and overcome. No two lives are lived the same or feel the same. Therefore, no two lives should be compared. Over time, the circumstances of life form how we see the world and those within it. Our minds are mirrors of our time on earth. Every part of our behavior, our point of view, our understanding.....is shaped by the things we do, the things that happen to us, the people we associate with, where we live, how we live, how we were raised, where we went to school, where we went to church, how we were treated as kids and as adults. If only we could appreciate one another. Why must people react to everything that happens with their personal negative disapproval and harsh criticism.
Are people crying behind closed doors? Or, is anger taking over the human spirit as shown by the violence and taking of lives? Yesterday three little girls were killed by their father. The day before there was a mass shooting at a neighborhood party---one killed, 11 others wounded. A couple of weeks ago a driver purposefully drove his vehicle into a street filled with people. This is a tiny speck of the violence going on. Just think of the small, everyday hostilities that are being put on people who are simply trying to live out their life in peace and quiet.
It's sad that we live in an age of heightened hostility and aggression. It's become a necessity to have cameras everywhere to capture what's happening. Cameras will protect our comings and goings. Cameras expose the bad guys and protect the good guys. We all live in different levels of potential threats and conflicts.
My post is focused on crying and tears, because there must be an unbelievable amount of tears being shed behind closed doors. Every time one person hurts another, regardless of the method, there is emotional pain and resultant tears. Crying is as normal as sneezing after we inhale black pepper. It's part of us.More than anything, my humble prayer is for more human kindness and compassion and understanding between us.
